As a math teacher, I often hear students complain that I expect them to remember something from a past course; likewise, I have heard teachers comment that students forget material very readily. This session is intended to help teachers understand how we learn - how memory and learning are interconnected - and how to use current research from cognitive psychology and neuroscience with our students to promote belonging through success.
