Authentic Numeracy Tasks: Engaging all learners with real world math

In this interactive session, we will explore a variety of authentic numeracy tasks at the middle school level. We will discuss what makes tasks authentic, how to foster an equitable learning environment, introducing tasks, supporting students with tasks, sharing solutions, consolidating learning, and assessment. Then we will learn how to make our own authentic numeracy tasks with an easy-to-follow template. You will leave this workshop with resources to both get you started and keep you going!
