Designing Math for All Learners

Our elementary school spent 2 years working on using core and curricular competencies to improve our math teaching practices. We applied successful literacy strategies to our math thinking and teaching, and took a school-wide approach to introduce common language and methods. We focused on using backwards design to focus on including and engaging all of our students in math. This workshop will describe our journey and share successful strategies to design math for all learners.
